The new arcade Badland project 2 is now available on the App store– the sequel to the upcoming action-adventure game and best game of the year by Apple. Gamers once again take on the role of the flying creatures, explore a colorful world, to face new dangers and overcome them.
Like its predecessor, Badland 2 is an on-rails physics-based platform. The difference is that the original game tasked players with only moving from left to right, whereas this sequel allows you to float in both directions. You’ll generally only be moving in one horizontally-scrolling direction (usually right), but occasionally you’re tasked with descending or ascending vertical chasms, so the two directional inputs are essential and offer a greater sense of agency through the game’s scripted obstacle course. Though a single-player only campaign, Badland 2 offers standalone challenge stages to compete against friends on via online leader boards and through asynchronous multiplayer events.
BADLAND 2 is out now on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices for $4.99 / 4.99€ / 3.99£ on the App Store. There are new elements, like liquids, flamethrowers, frost, magma, water and searing light, and even better graphics than the original.
